General questions about laser hair removal

How does laser hair removal work?

The laser beam targets pigment (melanin) in the hair root and converts light into heat, which damages the follicle and slows or permanently stops its growth. Treatment is most effective on hair in its active growth phase, which is why several sessions spaced a few weeks apart are needed.

What's the difference between laser hair removal and waxing or shaving?

Shaving and waxing remove hair temporarily, with or without the root, and growth continues at the same pace. Laser hair removal targets the hair follicle, and a series of treatments leads to a lasting reduction in hair density and growth.

Which device do you use and why does it matter?

We work exclusively with the Ether Plus device, featuring German 808nm diode technology. This wavelength is proven effective across a wide range of hair and skin types, and built-in cooling during treatment reduces discomfort.

Is laser hair removal safe?

Yes, provided the parameters are properly set for the skin and hair type. Before the first session we run a short consultation to assess skin phototype, zone sensitivity and any contraindications.

Preparation, treatment and number of sessions

How should I prepare for treatment?

Shave the zone 24 hours before your appointment, avoid sun exposure and self-tanning for at least two weeks beforehand, and arrive without perfumed creams or deodorant on the treatment zone. See the Helpful Info section for detailed guidelines.

Does the treatment hurt?

Most clients describe the sensation as a mild tingling or warmth. Ether Plus has continuous skin cooling during the pass, which significantly reduces discomfort compared with older laser technologies.

How many sessions are needed for a visible result?

Hair grows in cycles, so typically 6 to 8 sessions are needed, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on the zone and hair and skin type. Most clients notice a visible difference after the second or third session.

How long does one session take?

It depends on the zone — smaller zones like the face or underarms take 10 to 20 minutes, while larger zones such as full legs can take up to 45 minutes.

What should I do after treatment?

Care for the skin with mild moisturizing products, avoid sun, sauna and intense physical activity for 24 to 48 hours. See the dedicated aftercare page in the Helpful Info section for detailed guidance.

Safety and contraindications

Who should avoid laser hair removal?

Treatment isn't recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with active skin infections on the treatment zone, or those taking certain photosensitizing medications. See the full list of contraindications in the Helpful Info section.

Does the laser work on all skin tones?

The Ether Plus diode technology has adjustable parameters that allow safe treatment across a wide range of skin tones. We assess skin phototype at the consultation and adjust the device settings accordingly.

Can I get treated if I have a tan?

We recommend waiting until the tan fades, since freshly tanned skin increases the risk of irritation and reduces treatment effectiveness. It's best to avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks before and after treatment.

Pricing, packages and booking

How much does laser hair removal cost?

Price depends on the zone and gender — the full price list for women and men is available on the Pricing page. Combining several zones into a package (2, 3 or 6 zones) brings the per-zone price down.

Do you offer multi-zone packages?

Yes. You choose the zones you want from the full price list, and the package combination (2, 3 or 6 zones) is more cost-effective than paying for zones individually.

How can I book an appointment?

Booking is done online via Fresha — clicking the "Book Appointment" button lets you choose the service, date and time that suits you. You can also reach us by phone if needed.

Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Yes, you can reschedule or cancel directly through the Fresha platform or by phone, at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
